Program Details:
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Fayetteville Technical Community College and Red Hat are teaming up to provide a unique training opportunity to Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers & Civilians. Starting in the Spring of 2022, FTCC will offer a short-term, non-credit course through which students can become prepared to take the Red Hat System Administrator exam. Students who pass the exam will be positioned for entry-level jobs in the high-demand IT field.
In this course, students will be trained to develop the necessary skills for both GUI and command line skills for operating and customizing a Linux workstation.
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to customize and use Linux systems for command line requirements and desktop productivity roles, perform system administration tasks including installation, configuring and attaching a new Linux workstation to an existing network.
This course implements Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) and Red Hat System Administration II (RH134) curriculum and will prepare students for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator Exam.
Note: One unique program benefit for the military is that we do not use the GI Bill to cover the cost of the course. We provide either institutional scholarships or funding from the third- party partner.
